I have been around horses since I was in grade school, starting with my sisters first horse, an Appaloosa gelding that was an ex-racehorse. Over the years I rode her appaloosa and the barn where she boarded at I took lessons, on many different horses. I got my first horse in 1999, her name was Whinny Brite, she was a great first horse. She tested me until we figured each other out, and gave birth to two colts for me. Her first colt, Rivendell’s Legolas (known as Tickles to his new owner), I trained from the ground up. He was pretty much bomb proof at age 3. Kids could run around him, tractors, and other heavy equipment was not a problem for him. I had him going walk, and trot real well by the time his new owners bought him.
I ended up with some Thoroughbreds after I sold Whinny, but I soon ended up going up to Doyle, California for a mare, and ended up coming home with Ambrozjas Star. She and I just clicked. Later, I found Om El Faria searching for a horse for my friends to breed to their stallion. I am a current lifetime member of both the Appaloosa Horse Club and the Arabian Horse Association.
